In his debut EP, Bar Fight, independent New York City musician Tanner J. Royal brings together the sounds of his lifetime devoted to music. Influences of alternative rock, the blues of small-town Texas open mics, and pop all make their way into a sound embraced by the live music scene of his new home of Queens.

Tanner got his start playing bars in Houston, Texas and its countless surrounding small towns. His beginning work as frontman and songwriter of pop-punk band Burn Out Brighter saw him develop the ear-worm riffs, emotive lyricism, and explosive choruses that would remain his signature as he explored other genres. His pursuit of music eventually led him away from his small hometown and Southern Baptist upbringing and towards New York City where he began to perform as Rockstar Eastwood. This new project allowed him to explore merging the alternative sounds of New York’s music scene with his pop inclinations and love of the blues. His current self-titled work is the culmination of this movement. Enjoy the noise.
